Olympics Countdown: 103 days
I’m upset to hear about the protesters of the Olympic torch rally. Do these people really have no better outlet for their interests? Why are they ruining a series of great community spirited moments with an attack on the government while everyone else is celebrating Canada? I just don’t get it. I think there is a time and place for it, but definitely not here and not 4 months from now. Are they saying that they won’t enjoy and share a Canadian’s victory?
I, for one, and many other Canadians will be standing proud and cheering our athletes in February 2010. Only 103 days to go. GO CANADA GO!

Summer 2009.
I know I haven’t blogged in almost two months but I’ve been busy. I finished my first year of university this Monday (although it feels like a long time ago already!) and since, have not been doing much except eat, sleep, watch dramas, and eat some more! =) It’s definitely been a while since I’ve thought about writing down my thoughts, feelings, and daily experiences. I think I’ve changed in that aspect — I no longer have to blog about everything. Some things I keep to myself =P. Haha
I learnt a lot in first year. It is pretty much the usual but it was the first year I ever learnt those “life skills” people talk about. Not procrastinating is huge. Even though I don’t think I’m much of a procrastinator, the work load certainly catches up to you. There is no time to do all the readings before class, just enough time to get your assignments done and study for tests before I need to sleep. As well, I learnt the value of group work. University isn’t high school. I can’t do everything by myself, I need to rely on others to complete a project. First year was incredibly difficult, especially after the strike. I didn’t have much motivation when I returned to school. School work was beginning to consume my life and I rarely had time for me. It is also quite the possibility that I wasted a lot of time sitting around and doing nothing but it was certainly difficult motivating myself to do a 10-page 2% accounting assignment every week when there are about half a dozen bigger projects to do. I’d have to say I learnt a lot this year. I won’t complain about the strike or the work except that I know what needs to be done and to prioritize.
On a lighter note, haha, I’ve been watching way too many dramas. Maybe that’s how I waste my time. =) LOL, so I was talking to Daphne two days ago and she told me about this Japanese drama, 1 Litre of Tears, and let’s just say I finished watching it. Sigh. I’m addicted. Who would have I ever thought that I would become addicted to Korean dramas…. LOL definitely not me!
I’m off to read my book now. Oh, how I miss reading!
PS. I saw the New Moon trailer and I just was capitivated! LOL
